NHS Knowledge and Library Hub

The NHS Knowledge and Library Hub is a single gateway which connects NHS staff and learners to a significant range of high-quality knowledge and evidence from open-access, freely available online content, to NHS nationally and locally purchased resources, including journal articles, eBooks, healthcare databases and BMJ Best Practice.

You'll need a NHS OpenAthens account to access and search the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub. Here is an introductory video on how to access and use the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub.

Accessing Articles in PubMed

Click on the blue buttons to search in PubMed with the additional function to check whether you can directly access an article. Please select the button that relates to your organisation.

LibKey Nomad

You can easily see if you can access articles on publisher's websites by adding the LibKey Nomad extension to the browsers on your own devices. Please see the instructions. Also there is a short video available on how to set up and use LibKey Nomad.

BrowZine

Using your NHS OpenAthens account, BrowZine allows you to quickly search for a journal by specialty or title. You can easily browse the contents page of a journal issue to check for full-text access to articles. This introductory video will show you how to access and search BrowZine.

Google Scholar

Linking your Library and Knowledge Service to Google Scholar will ensure that you can access the full text articles included in the subscription for your organisation. Please see attached instructions.
