Where is the Library?
The library is situated on Level 1 and opposite entrance 11.
From the main entrance to the hospital turn left at the reception area. You will pass the shop and the chapel. You can either take the stairs in front of you or turn left down the corridor to take the lift. Go down to Level 1. The library is on the right hand side just after Entrance 11.
Information about Accessing the Library Building
There is step free access from the entrance of the hospital to the library. The entrance door is not heavy but some users may require assistance as it is not automatic. The entrance door is wide enough for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The library is on one level (there are no slopes or areas that have steps) and it is carpeted throughout. There is enough space for wheelchairs and mobility scooters to move around the library.
The swipe card access box and door release button are easily accessible.
Assistance is available from library staff during staffed hours.
